Non-traditional Book—"Endless"
Specs: Full color.
Objective: To create an unconventional book structure that visually expresses a story, song or poem with all content intact.
Solution: This interpretation of Dave Gahan’s song, “Endless,” represents the lyrical themes of cycles, sustained time and endless existence. These themes were expressed in the way that the final stage of the piece creates a loop that also forms a clock. The circles represent cycles and the tick-marks are reflective of the 60bpm ticking sample in the music. The color transition reflects the passing of time from one stage to another, but ends where it started. The star shape is taken from the lyrics.
