Objective: To design the letterforms for a masthead for a magazine featuring up-and-coming American authors and literary works.
Solution: This masthead was designed and drawn by hand, then brought to the computer where it was traced in Illustrator and applied to a magazine cover. The rounded serifs, thick letters, and swashes were created to express the comfort and sophistication that is found in literary collections.
